The Community Engagement Intern will be assisting with performing public outreach and actively participating in community engagement by attending events and helping to answer questions and follow up with inquiries at these events. Intern responsibilities often include but are not limited to conducting research; developing social media content; performing public outreach and actively participating in community meetings; developing neighborhood engagement; drafting press releases, media advisories, and mayoral talking points; preparing copy for local news outlets; facilitating written correspondence including proclamations, certificates, official greetings, and other letters; facilitating data entry; planning, attending, and executing special events; working with various internal and external offices and stakeholders; representing the Mayor’s Office at special events, fairs, and festivals.
