Performs a wide variety of manual duties in grounds maintenance such as mowing, weed treatment, litter control and operating small tools. Operates large and small tractors cutting grass. Operates backpack sprayers, blowers and weed eaters. Drives medium duty dump trucks to haul debris and pulls trailers loaded with equipment. Performs other duties as may be assigned. May act as a temporary Crew Leader when needed. Must have experience operating large and small tractors and pulling trailers. Must be able to perform physical labor outside exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather. Will be subject to heavy lifting and extensive walking, standing, bending and stooping. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers. Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Must be a high school graduate or have a GED. Must possess or obtain a Class B Driver’s License with Air Brakes endorsement within twelve months of hire.License must remain valid as a condition of continued employment. Must pass a background and driver’s license check, and physical exam including a drug screen. Will work in a non-smoking work environment. City of Bartlett resident preferred, but not required.

This is a federal requirement for all CDL holders and this registration must be completed before the hiring process. We will run a full query with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.
