CITY OF AUBURN is Hiring a GIS Technician Near Auburn, WA
In this role you will:
- Design and produce production quality maps and reports.
- Maintain knowledge of GIS principles, practices, and proficiencies; maintains a basic knowledge and understanding of current civil engineering and design principles, theories, practices, and techniques.
- Review and interpret plans and AutoCAD data to extract as-built infrastructure information.
- Conduct efficient and accurate field data collection utilizing GIS tools and mobile technologies, ensuring the collection of reliable spatial information for mapping, analysis, and decision-making purposes.
- Two (2) years of college-level course work in GIS or a related field.
- One (1) year of successful work experience using GIS and other related software
a combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform the above essential functions for the position.
NOTE: Additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Possess and retain a valid state driver’s license without impending loss at time of appointment.
