Heavy Motor Equipment Operator/ Laborer

Pay Range: $22.84 - $27.44 per hour

The City of Attleboro seeking a Heavy Motor Equipment Operator/Laborer for the Department of Public Works to operate heavy equipment with a rated capacity up to 9 tons used in road maintenance and construction, including but not limited to: large tractors, road sweepers, snow loaders, leaf loaders, snow fighters, sidewalk rollers and road flushers. Loads and unloads trucks, picks up and hauls materials, plows and sands highways, greases, oils and cleans equipment, changes tires and performs minor maintenance. These positions may perform skilled and unskilled manual duties in the care and maintenance of City streets in addition to the operation of heavy equipment. Participation in snow and ice program required. Related work as required.

Must possess and maintain a valid CDL B license with airbrakes endorsement.

40 hours per week. Mon. – Fri. 7:00 to 3:30 (Hours subject to change or extension). During inclement weather, hours of duty will be extended.
