WORK OBJECTIVE:
Under the supervision of the Public Works Director or Public Works Field Operations Manager, the incumbent oversees the activities of the contract lawn maintenance provider to coordinate assigned activities with the other City departments and provide support to the Public Works Director. Incumbent may perform routine activities such as mowing, cleaning of park facilities, opening of parks, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; supplemented by four (4) years responsible experience in landscaping or parks management, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain a Florida Driver’s License; CDL is preferred. Must possess or obtain a Pool Operator Certification within one (1) year of employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed if such duties are a logical assignment to the position.
● Assume full responsibility to oversee the operation of the City Splash Pad.
● Assume responsibility for the sanitation, cleaning and maintenance of all City parks.
● Oversee the quality of the work done by contract lawn maintenance provider. Reports all problems to Public Works Director or Public Works Fields Operations Manager.
● Represent the City Parks Department to other City departments, elected officials, outside agencies, and the general public.
● Provide information to the Public Works Director or Public Works Field Operations Manager for resolution of difficult and sensitive citizen inquiries and complaints.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $17.64 - $27.34 per hour
