City Museum is Hiring a Food/Beverage Supervisor - Variable Near St. Louis, MO
Food and Beverage SupervisorDepartment: Food and Beverage Employment type: Variable Hourly Work Schedule: Varied hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays Reports to: Food and Beverage Supervisor and Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to fulfill all functions and duties of all Food and Beverage Department positions
Supervise food and beverage staff to ensure efficient daily operation
Conduct pre and post shift briefings with all Food and Beverage Department employees
Ability to properly and safely operate all equipment used
Initiate and impose disciplinary action according to museum policies and procedures
Responsible for the conducting in-service and ongoing training of employees to ensure optimal customer satisfaction in quality, service, safety, and efficiency, as well as establishing and maintaining customer service standards
Supervise guest experience to ensure excellent customer service is provided by the food and beverage staff
Responsible for the continued compliance with local Health Department sanitation guidelines and codes
Responsible for maintaining food and beverage presentation standards at all quick service restaurant and food carts
Ensure all museum policies and procedures are being followed by all employees
Identify concerns and work with management to resolve concerns
Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees
Provide superior customer service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner
Assist customers with all questions regarding City Museum including facility layout and amenities
Follow all museum policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Record of Hep A vaccine or ability to receive (as required by St Louis City Health Department)*
Food Handler's Safety Card/certification*
Experience in department or equivalent supervisory experience preferred
Ability to accept guidance and supervision
Demonstrate ability to work independently
Ability to communicate effectively with public, customers and staff members
Be aware, attentive, and work well with others
Energy and enthusiasm for long days
Ability to work in extreme conditions and take precautions, including hydration, sun-protection and other precautions as necessary
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level
