Job Title: Receiving Team Lead

Starting Wage: $17.93/hour

Department: Receiving

Reports To: Receiving Management

Location: All City Market Locations

Union Position UE Local 203: Non-exempt, Grade 6

Summary

City Market Co-Op is seeking a Receiving Team Lead. This role helps coordinate the Receiving team during their scheduled shifts, including directing the work of Receivers and Stockers on the receiving dock, organizing the dock, and ensuring quality control of the receiving process.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Scheduling and directing activities of the Receiving Staff
• Assisting in coordinating and monitoring the data being input or altered in the POS system.
• Communicating all pertinent information to the Receiving Manager 
• Processing invoices daily and route invoices to appropriate department.
• Checking deliveries to verify piece count, ensure that vendor alters invoices accordingly or that credit is requested. 
• Fostering and maintaining friendly, respectful, and professional vendor relations

Qualifications

• Two years of receiving, manufacturing, or inventory control experience required OR 3 years of retail experience required. 
• High School diploma or GED required. 
• Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry preferred. 
• Experience with POS or inventory management software required. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
