Boston Harbor City Cruises is seeking Facilities Assistants for our operation in Boston, MA.

About the Opportunity:

Facilities Assistants are assigned to Long Wharf, to maintain the overall appearance of the dock and pier for Boston Harbor City Cruises. Responsible for overseeing day to day receiving and distribution of F&B product throughout the fleet. They may also be called upon to assist in other various tasks by Boston Harbor City Cruises management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Processing and sorting all products that come in through deliveries.
• Organizing all products so that everything is easily accessible to BHCC staff members.
• Taking daily inventory of all alcohol products.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness and organization of L.W. warehouse facility.
• Receiving and processing orders from all BHCC vessels.
• Deliver products to BHCC vessels and making sure the correct product has been delivered to galley bartenders.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the pier at Long Wharf including the following:
  • Sweeping and scrubbing the Landing patio each morning.
  • Ensuring Landing bathrooms are clean and stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, and soap at all times.
  • When needed, help BHCC vessels with trash removal.
  • Ensuring that there is no BHCC trash on the ground in the dumpster area.
• Help BHCC vessels tie up to the dock, catching lines.
• Help with general labor on the pier assisting BHCC management with any tasks.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
• Able to prepare basic food items.
• Basic knowledge of food allergens preferred.
• Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to coworkers and guests.
• Basic math and calculations skills.
• Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others.
• Will work for extended periods without sitting.
• Able to work outdoors in all temperature environments.
• Able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Will be required to be available for work weekends and on all major holidays.
