City Barbeque is Hiring an Assistant Catering Operations Manager Near Springs, GA

Position Summary
The Assistant Catering Operations Manager at City Barbeque is responsible for the operational leadership, planning, and execution of Catering Events. The position reports to the Catering Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities 
GOALS/INITIATIVES:
Assists Catering Operations Manager directly and indirectly to ensure successful daily Event operations, including, but not limited to:
  • Working with restaurant managers and teammates to meet sales and operational goals for each Event.
  • Confirming timely delivery and set-up of Events.
  • Driving responsibly with the team, product, and supplies to and from Event(s).
  • Maintaining Competition Quality product standards.
  • Ensuring Backyard Hospitality is exhibited throughout the Event by all teammates.
  • Resolving all Guest conflicts.
RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Evaluate existing internal and external relationships and sales efforts, with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.
  • Manage key relationships and work to develop new ones, with clients, guests, teammates, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors alike. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers, and key community and strategic partners.
SELF-DEVELOPMENT:
  • Cultivate a strong understanding of the company’s products and services.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT/LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT:
  • Assists Catering Operations Manager with Event planning and logistics handling for all market Events.
  • Effectively use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool(s) to ensure order clarity and coordination of Events with the Sales Manager.
  • Determine Event staffing & scheduling needs.
  • Ensure accurate execution of drop sheets and other systems that direct/provide proper food production, packaging, and delivery for Events.
FINANCIAL ACUMEN:
  • Assists the Catering Operations Manager with P&L management, including food, paper, labor, and supplies.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies, paper, food, equipment, uniforms, etc.
  • Evaluate and manage the upkeep of Catering assets, equipment, and vehicles.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT:
  • Assists Catering Operations Manager with developing and managing an Operations Team to fulfill “Best on the Block” Event expectations.
  • Assists the Catering Operations Manager in constantly evaluating staffing levels, while proactively recruiting and hiring to fulfill Event staffing needs.
  • Assists the Catering Operations Manager with all aspects of professional team development, including new hire training, recognition, individual development plans, succession planning, coaching/counseling, and performance evaluations.
Required Skills & Experience 
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Catering/Events manager or similar role
  • Ability to assess client requirements and deliver client satisfaction
  • Treats others with integrity, fairness, and respect
  • Excellent organizational skills to set priorities and meet goals
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to influence in a matrix environment
  • Solid business and financial acumen, including strong analytical skills and aptitude with reports/metrics
  • Experienced in project and process management skills, including effective management of time, budget, and resources; ability to balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems and make changes to accommodate a rapidly changing marketplace
  • Proactive, organized, and handles work under stressful and uncertain environments.
  • Experienced in food safety protocols and policies
  • Must be driven and able to operate autonomously
  • Strong computer skills
  • Weekend availability is a must
  • Ability to lift as much as 50 pounds and work on feet for extended periods
