Citizens is looking for an experienced strategy professional to join its Enterprise Experience (EXO) Strategy team. This team sets the strategic agenda and direction for the Experience organization and acts as a trusted advisor to Citizens’ senior leadership.

The Senior Strategy Consultant is responsible for assisting in defining and developing the change agenda in digital, data and analytics, marketing and organizational transformation led by the EXO team. The candidate will partner with senior leaders throughout the EXO organization to ensure consistency and effectiveness in support of growth and change initiatives.

The role will support Enterprise Experience strategic initiatives that will shape both the short and long-term direction of the EXO organization. As a key member of our strategy team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of our organization through strategic initiatives and effective communication. Initiatives focused on data transformation and generative AI, marketing transformation, leading with digital and organizational effectiveness. The role will also be responsible for analyzing and outlining complex problems related to driving change throughout the entire Bank. This includes identifying and structuring problem statements, analyzing root causes, developing, and communicating recommendations/solutions, and getting buy-in for change.

  • Partnering with EXO leaders and their teams to diagnose problems, identify and prioritize opportunities, develop comprehensive strategies, and drive profitable solutions all driving transformational change throughout the organization.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for senior management, synthesizing key findings and making recommendations. Raise and present key findings to team leaders.
  • Research and analyze competitive market and industry trends to support change transformation throughout the Bank; identify salient findings; present results. Identify opportunities to simplify program processes for the distribution organization; analyze the potential impact; make recommendations; and execute changes.
  • Drive program governance (for our enterprise-wide Generative AI program, and other large-scale initiatives), ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, compliance with regulatory requirements, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), milestones, and metrics to track program progress and measure success.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic plans (Generative AI program, Data transformation, CX/UX, marketing, etc.), aligning with business goals and market trends. Conducting thorough analysis of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to identify strategic opportunities and risks. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven analysis and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, mitigate issues, and drive continuous improvement in program execution.

Qualifications - External

  • Bachelor's degree in a strategic or business related field (e.g. Business, Finance, Marketing) required
  • 5 years of experience in a Marketing, Digital and/or Strategy, management consulting, or related roles, with a focus on strategic planning, program management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex strategic initiatives from conception to implementation, with ability to influence, direct, manage and deliver strategic planning insights and actions to inform and facilitate executive decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information, identify insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with experience presenting to executive audiences and influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, influence without authority, and drive results in a matrixed organization.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Continuous improvement and innovation mindset with a strong degree of industry awareness and context

Hours: 40

Schedule: M-F 8-5 Hybrid Schedule in office 3 days a week and 2 days remote
