The Relationship Banker is responsible for greeting the customers as they enter the bank. This individual is considered the face of the bank and often sets the first impression for those entering the bank. It is important that the Relationship Banker is pleasant and welcoming. This person will possess knowledge of bank products and other departments within the bank. They will interact with customers on a daily basis, answer questions about products and services, resolve issues, and build relationships that help maintain long-term customer loyalty. The Relationship Banker will work with many different personalities and the ability to communicate effectively is a must. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Provide advice and counsel to customers regarding their financial needs and goals
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase customer base
• Monitor customer accounts and identify opportunities for additional products and services
• Cross-sell bank products and services to customers
• Assist customers with account inquiries, loan applications and other banking transactions
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service
• Maintain accurate customer records
• Comply with all bank policies and procedures
• Participate in community outreach activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in banking or customer service
• Knowledge of banking products and services
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
