About The Role

The Collections Specialist will bring a strong corporate collections background to the operations group to facilitate timely payments from a growing customer base. The candidate must be detail oriented, organized, able to work independently and as part of a team of billing professionals. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as the position requires contact with all levels of engagement professionals internally and externally.

What You'll Do

* Accountable for reducing delinquency for client accounts to reduce company DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)

* Establish methodological process for continuously canvassing all aged AR and performing routine follow-ups and check-ins to ensure timely payments

* Maintain meticulous notes and comments on all accounts via the system and various trackers

* Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress

* Proactively establish contact points with clients' Accounts Payable contact(s) and preemptively ensure access to billing systems is in place prior to invoicing

* Identify and resolve technical issues preventing client payments (access to eBilling sites, vendor setups, etc.)

* Collaborate with relationship managers where appropriate to facilitate client payments

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

* 3 years' experience in collections

* Working knowledge of MS Office including advanced knowledge of MS Excel

* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures

* Knowledge of various collection techniques

* Strong attention to detail, goal oriented and organized

* Able to establish sound processes and routines

* Self-motivated and able to work independently

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

* Ability to remain focused and on task in a fast-paced environment

* Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
