Who You'll Work With
In the Partner Experience engineering team, you will be working among a group of passionate engineers as a hands-on technical leader, designing, leading, and architecting the platform in which Partners interact with Cisco. Collaborating with architects, developers, UX designers and non-technical partners within Cisco to build the next generation of a unified experience platform.

What You’ll Do
The primary objective of this position is to support the CX/PX Cloud Application Engineering team in developing innovative technologies and software solutions that provide exceptional customer experiences. Additionally, the role involves assisting customers and partners in effectively implementing and using Cisco technology investments. CX/PX Cloud Engineers are the heart and soul of our organization, and this technical leadership role will help lead the team in delivering scalable, responsive, and compelling platforms to our customers, partners, and managed service providers.
Using the latest cloud services and technologies, you will build tools, automation, and services that make it easier to develop and deploy features to customers. We cover the full stack, so you can start the day fixing a JavaScript/UI bug, hop on the APIs (Application Programming interfaces) over lunch, and investigate database performance issues before heading home. Or, if you like, take a few days to focus on delivering a small feature that our tens of thousands of customers have been asking for and measuring exactly how often it is being used. This team does it all, so you will never be bored, and you will constantly be learning modern technologies.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience with Java or Python, or 6 years with Masters in related field
  • Experience building enterprise applications with either Angular or React
  • 2 years of Terraform
  • 5 years of experience on Docker, Kubernetes, and Microservices architectures
  • Proficient in SQL/NoSQL and other databases/persistent stores including: MySQL, Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, and MongoDB
  • Experience building highly available, resilient, scalable, performant application deployed on public cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP) as well as hands on experience building SaaS applications using cloud native technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with AWS technologies, including Route53, CloudFront, API Gateway, Aurora RDS, DynamoDB, ElasticCache, EKS, ECS, S3, AWS SDK, Lambda, and SQS
  • Proficient in writing unit and integration test cases and hands-on experience with complete CI/CD tooling, including GIT, CICD tools, and security scans
  • Knowledge of Linux administration, adept at using console commands, scripting, and utilities such as PERL and BASH
  • Demonstrated experience in building REST APIs and utilizing OpenAPI/Swagger Spec
  • Proven experience with Agile Development, CI/CD tools, project tracking tools, and familiarity with GRPC, GraphQL, and automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Selenium, and Cypress

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. hiring location. U.S. employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
