We turn the volume up… or down and take the audience through smooth transitions while keeping the crew, cast and audience connected, working in close collaboration with our show's bands. From mic checks to live mixing our Audio team makes sure we can communicate and see the show from many angles to ensure safety and to immerse the audience in the experience of the show. We look for candidates who have experience with wireless mics, networking, video, intercom and bring strong knowledge of troubleshooting Audio equipment in a live environment.

Come join one of our 5 diverse divisions at Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group:
  • Touring Shows Division (TSD) – international Big Top and Arena touring shows. You must be available and authorized to work internationally full time (365 days).
  • Resident Shows Division (RSD) – resident shows in Las Vegas and Orlando
  • Affiliate Shows Division (ASD) – Blue Man Group (BMG), VStar, Cirque Dreams and The Works Entertainment, with both resident and arena touring options
  • Events & Experience (E&E) – sporadic events across the globe
  • Studio Teams in Montreal along with Costume and Production Workshops in Montreal and Las Vegas
Main tasks:
  • Facilitate the design and rigging of the sound system at each setup;
  • Ensure that all aspects of sound operations operate efficiently and respect the show concept;
  • Replace other sound engineers in different functions during performances, if necessary;
  • Inspect and maintain audio archives, RF, video and communications equipment;
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of all production-specific audio department equipment in order to use equipment safely;
  • Participate in the maintenance, repair and modification of sound equipment;
  • Update sound archives;
  • Observe safety standards and regulations relating to sound equipment and use safe work methods;
  • Follow the requirements set by customs and logistics directorates for transporting equipment with touring shows;
What we look for in candidates:
  • Previous experience as a professional Audio Technician in a live entertainment environment;
  • Proficiency in operating, troubleshooting and repair of audio, RF, video, and communications equipment; electronics training and audio equipment repair skills an asset;
  • Working knowledge of computer networking protocols and hardware interconnection;
  • Operational knowledge of computer-based real-time analysis audio system;
  • Ability to relocate or travel 100% of time, depending on role;
  • Ability to complete necessary training and obtain applicable certifications;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Knowledge of other languages is an asset;
  • Ability to provide appropriate work authorization;
  • At least 18 years of age.
