What is this role? 

As the Plant Technical Manager for Cirkul, you will play a key role in Cirkul’s geographic expansion to a Western state. The Plant Technical Manager(PTM) will be responsible for building and leading the plant’s engineering and maintenance teams. The PTM will lead many systems in the plant including equipment systems, technical training, continuous improvement, preventative and reactive maintenance, and facilities/risk management. The PTM will partner with all other manufacturing teams, finance, central engineering, supply chain, and HR. This position will require travel from the Cirkul West Plant to the Tampa, FL facilities. What does an average day look like?

Driving Results: Manage and improve all engineering and maintenance KPIs including project management, continuous improvement, and platform management. Reduce equipment downtime through strong PM systems and a skilled maintenance team.

Taking Ownership: Develop, reapply, and educate the site on best practices for all engineering and maintenance systems.

Making Decisions: Apply Cirkul's best practices while developing new best practices where needed.

Cultivating Relationships: Attract, Retain, Coach, Develop and Empower employees at all levels.

Instilling Trust: Develop and Implement a world class culture.

Customer Focus: Ensure that engineering and maintenance customers' needs, internally and externally, are being met.

What background should you have? 

• 5 years of engineering/maintenance/technical experience in a high velocity manufacturing environment in roles of increasing responsibility
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• High level of understanding in world class manufacturing excellence systems and processes
• Demonstrated ability to manage maintenance, continuous improvement, and automation systems
• Demonstrated ability of thriving in a highly demanding work environment while maintaining high standards
• Demonstrated ability to make autonomous decisions with minimal guidance
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Willing to work hard, stay until the job is complete, and demonstrate resilience
• Have a positive attitude, willing to work with multiple levels of employees, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
