Job Summary

As a member of the Technology team, our IT Manager will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of company IT infrastructure; including network, server and workstation administration, disaster recovery, and cyber security. The overall role is to enable stakeholders to work as effectively as possible while minimizing their time spent on IT.  

Responsibilities and Duties

• Define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
• Monitor performance of IT services and make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure.
• Oversee IT projects from planning through requirements, resource allocation, and implementation.
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and identify software gaps or opportunities for enhancement.
• Implement and monitor disaster recovery and back-up procedures.
• Identify the need for upgrades, new configurations or systems, and participate in implementation planning.
• Manage and monitor firewall and antivirus logs and respond to threats accordingly.
• Manage IT and Network policies through Active Directory / Group Policy / Azure AAD to support the company’s policies and requirements.
• Manage or participate in acquisition of IT assets.
• Manage IT Software subscription SaaS licenses.
• Manage key IT Vendors and the deliverables they provide. 
• Oversee the help desk by monitoring the IT Ticketing system to ensure requests are addressed and closed, and end user services and equipment are provisioned timely.
• Assist support staff in providing end-user support, as needed.
• Train end-users on new products/releases as needed.
• Manage a staff; lead, develop, coach, and discipline, as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 5 years of IT enterprise operations experience (on-premises and cloud)
• Focus on serving the internal customers
• Ability to convert strategy into action
• Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
• Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
• Proficient with Windows and Linux Server administration best practices
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD administration

Working Conditions

Circuit Board Medics was founded on a 1 day turnaround for standard repairs. This nurtures a fast-paced environment that requires a strong sense of urgency. The typical workday is 8:00AM - 5:00PM with a break for lunch. The daily responsibility of the IT team is to ensure that all assignments are completed timely, which means staying after 5:00PM some days.
