CIRCOR Naval Solutions started in 1897 under Warren Pumps. This division is best known for serving the U.S. Navy's submarine and surface ship programs. The highly engineered and custom-built pumps are made of a wide variety of exotic materials and span an envious range of both centrifugal and positive displacement technologies.
Every submarine and aircraft carrier in the U.S. fleet as well as many other U.S. naval vessels depends on the pumps manufactured at Warren.
TITLE: Quality Inspector
POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
Performs mechanical inspection of pumps and pump parts for dimensional analysis to drawing.
Principal Activities
- Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, and materials. Take precision and complex geometric measurements on valve parts.
- Responsible for conducting First Article, In-Process, Final inspections. Review/prepare various reports pertaining to inspections/testing, acceptance, or rejection of items.
- Work from blueprints, drawings, shop orders, purchase orders or other information and data to inspect and check a wide variety of rough, semi-finished and finished parts, components, and assemblies to close tolerances.
- Ability to layout a variety of castings and parts to support manufacturing operations.
- Conduct receiving inspection of incoming castings.
- Ensure all incoming documentation is accurate to PO/Customer Requirements.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Must be proficient using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator etc.) Must be proficient in applying the principles of GD&T for blueprint / model interpretation and acceptance activities.
- Ability to read engineering and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience with Quality Management System principles ISO9001: 2008, AS 9100D etc.
- Experience participating in Corrective Action processes, including containment plans, root cause analysis, etc....
- Ability to interact with Production, Engineering, and Planning.
- Ability to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.
- Review contracts, purchase orders, drawings, routings, shop instructions and other planning for quality requirements
- US Citizenship is required for DOD requirements.
Education & Experience
- Have HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have 3 years of mechanical inspection experience.
