Position Summary:
As a Maintenance Assistant at Circleville Post Acute, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our facility. Working closely with the maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to facility maintenance and repair, contributing to the overall well-being and comfort of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of the facility's physical structure, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general carpentry work.
• Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards, and promptly address them.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, equipment, and storage rooms.
• Support the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of equipment and facilities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Assist in coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and administration, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to daily operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs completed, and inventory of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
