Job Title: Director of Nursing (DON)
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Salem Rehabilitation and Healthcare, DBA: Circle of Care, is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility. You will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies while fostering an environment where all personnel will be able to do their best in caring for residents and their families. Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you. The goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of the facility and residents alike.
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations within the organization
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- oversee creation and update of care plans for patients based on their individual needs
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing team members
- Stay current with advancements in medical technology, treatments, and procedures
- RN required with Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Valid RN license in the state of Ohio
- Experience in acute care nursing preferred
- Previous experience in nursing administration or nurse management preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and healthcare practices
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations and reimbursement processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and lead a team of nurses
- Proficient in creating care plans and evaluating patient outcomes
