Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about retail and has strong leadership skills.
Duties:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Train and develop store staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Handle cash register operations, including processing transactions and ensuring accuracy
- Assist with visual merchandising to create an appealing store environment
- Implement marketing strategies to drive sales and increase store traffic
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the store
- Recruit, hire, and train new employees as needed
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a retail environment, preferably in a leadership role
- Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly desirable
- Strong selling skills with a proven track record of meeting sales targets
- Experience in budgeting and managing expenses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Knowledge of market trends and competitor analysis
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals
