Our client is seeking a Production Assistant Manager.

• Working Location: Huntersville, North Carolina 28078

• Working Hours: work during the day, but depending on the production situation, need to work early in the morning or late at night.

Summary:
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufactured processes and will perform a wide variety of tasks listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare production schedule by planning production priorities and workflow based on customer orders.
• Ensure all equipment, materials, and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out the production process by monitoring inventories.
• Strive to increase sales by improving product quality.
• Strive to reduce expenses and production loss and establish a workflow that enhances speed and efficiency without compromising product quality.
• Improve product quality by reviewing recipes, production processes, ingredients, machine operation, and the whole facility.
• Monitor the production process.
• Provide training, including machine operation and maintenance, to production employees.
• Ensure product quality daily.
• Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays to senior management.
• Prepare for food safety audits, including SQF, FDA, and OSHA audit along with QA Department.
• Review all production documents including Production Report.
• Hire/terminate production employees and review their performance.
• Monitor employees’ work hours, overtime, and rest/meal breaks.
• Analyze sales, production costs, output/loss, and profit/loss.
• Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting on machines, equipment, and facility.
• Work closely with Shipping Department to monitor inventories, special orders, and shelf life.
• Work closely with R&D Department for samples requests.
• Establish efficient production processes for new products and train production employees to meet quality standards.
• Make a proposal for new recipes, production processes, and other topics.
• Handle complaints from customers with Sales Department and QA Department.
• Calculate product standard costs and selling prices for new products.
• Monitor inventories and determine amounts of necessary materials and supplies.
• Ensure qualities of materials and supplies before they are used.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers.
• Other miscellaneous tasks.
