POSITION: Assisted Living Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
FLSA: Exempt
Salary Range: $55,000-$58,000/year

POSITION SUMMARY
The Assisted Living Coordinator is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and
supervision of daily operations within an assisted living facility. This role involves ensuring the
well-being, safety, and quality of life for residents, while also managing staff, adhering to
regulations, and maintaining a positive living environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting
company culture and vision.
Resident Care:
• Coordinate and oversee resident care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals,
ensuring individualized care and support.
• Monitor residents' well-being, health, and overall satisfaction with services provided.
Staff Management:
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff members, including caregivers and support
personnel.
• Schedule and organize staff duties to ensure proper coverage and adherence to
regulations.
Facility Operations:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, including maintenance, housekeeping, dining
services, and recreational activities.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, licensing requirements, and safety
standards.
Communication and Coordination:
• Act as a liaison between residents, their families, staff, and external healthcare providers.
• Coordinate with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and vendors as needed.
Budgeting and Record-Keeping:
• Manage budgets, expenses, and financial records related to the facility's operations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and documentation.
Education/Training:
• Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly,
annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS)
Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care,
comfort, and happiness of our residents.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Social Work, or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a healthcare or senior
living environment.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards related to assisted living facilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively.
• Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life.
• Leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written).
• Must have strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read and write.
• Decision-making and problem-solving.
• Organization and time management.
• Empathy and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully
perform the essential functions of this position:
• Walk/Stand – must be able to continuously walk and stand.
• Environment Condition – must be able to perform work both inside and outside.
• Sit – sit infrequently.
• Lift - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
• Carry - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100
pounds.
• Push - constantly 0-10 pounds, frequently 11 – 50 pounds, occasionally 51 – 100 pounds.
• Climb – must be able to climb stairs on a frequent basis, with the opportunity to utilize
the elevator as an alternate resource if available.
• Bend – must be able to bend at the waist, knees, hips, and spine on a frequent basis; may
require frequently manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
• Squat – must be able to squat on a frequent basis to reach below the knee, may require
lifting of 50 pounds or less.
• Twist or rotate – must be able to twist or rotate occasionally at the trunk, hips, knees, and
neck, manipulating weights of 25 pounds or more.
• Reach– must be able to reach on a frequent basis. May occasionally reach overhead,
requiring manipulation of weight of 10 pounds or less, and below waist manipulating
weight of 25 pounds or more.
