Title: IT Support Technician
Reports to:
OBJECTIVE
The IT Support Technician role requires a strong foundation in technical support and software troubleshooting. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office, computer networking, IT support, desktop support, is essential for success in this position. Familiarity with identity & access management, Azure, IT management, HIPAA, Active Directory, remote access software, ITIL, and SOX compliance will also be beneficial. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to provide comprehensive IT support and maintain the organization's systems and networks effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
User support: Provide troubleshooting assistance either in person, over the phone, or via remote desktop tools.
Problem Diagnosis: analyze IT issues reported by users, asking questions to diagnose the nature of the problem
Technical troubleshooting: Use their technical expertise to resolve IT problems
Software and hardware support
Password resets and account management: Handle password reset requests, assist with account setup, and manage user access permissions to various systems and applications.
Documentation: Document common issues and resolutions, creating a knowledge base that helps in faster problem-solving in the future.
Remote support: use remote desktop tools to provide support to users in different locations, resolving issues without being physically present.
Security: assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies,
Some travel: Commute between facilities less than 30 miles 1 way from facility to facility
Occasional after-hours work may periodically be required.
Requirements:
Microsoft Azure Experience.
Active Directory Experience.
Knowledge of SOX Compliance and understanding of Identity Access Management.
Hardware troubleshooting experience
ITIL Knowledge
HIPAA compliance knowledge
