Job Overview

Our Project Manager is Chugach's representative to the Department of Interior (DoI) Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) at Ohmsett, which is the national oil spill response research and renewable energy test facility. The Project Manager has responsibility and accountability for Ohmsett's maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) of buildings, grounds, utilities, and support services to perform at full operational capacity as a simulated environmental testing facility for oil spill response equipment, marine and hydrodynamic energy research, development, test, and evaluation (T&E).

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Professional project management of contractual requirements, in coordination with customer and for use of Chugach-resources.
  • Leadership, supervision, and training of project personnel.
  • Develop and implement strategies, processes, and initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction, and performance requirements in accordance with Corporate goals.
  • Maintain a safe workplace and Chugach's culture: "Safety Today Secures Tomorrow".
  • Apply leadership principles to promote Chugach's Core Behaviors.
  • Compliance administration consistent with the contract, and corporate policies, procedures, standards, requirements, and expectations.
  • Financial management of project budget.
  • Perform related work as needed to fulfill requirements of the contract.
Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in STEM discipline
  • Ten (10) years' experience
  • Certification:
    • Program or Project Management Professional (PgMP, PMP), or
    • Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM), or
    • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Functional Area (Program Management or Engineering and Technical Management)
  • US citizen

Preferred:

  • Master of Science (M.S.) in STEM discipline.
  • Experience managing the operations of a U.S. Federal Government contract.
  • Experience with the use of Maximo and other work control systems to plan, track, control and report work-related accomplishments, schedules and resources.
  • Current security clearance with a DoD or civilian agency.
