Job OverviewThe role of the Project Financial Analyst is to provide Project, Contract, and Program Financial Management support to the Program Manager. These tasks will require the employee to have the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in matters of financial performance related to the management and contract support supplied to the end customer.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Job Functions:
- Create, update, and reconcile project tracker spreadsheets and budgets.
- Analyze project margins and provide guidance for corrective actions when projects financials are outside of predicted bounds.
- Liaison with Corporate finance, project managers, subcontracts, and customers/portals for invoice reviews, etc to validate formats and correct data.
- Backfill Management Program Technicians (MPT's) as needed for contract deliverables, invoicing, job cost to date reports, reclass actions, receiving reports, task expenses, billing, etc.
- Maintain expertise to assist in process to ensure all invoicing, accounting for expenses is accurate and up to date including subcontract expenses.
- Maintaining financial project trackers and assisting project managers for data inquiries regarding project finances.
- Other duties as assigned.
Mandatory:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Four years of hands-on professional government contracting/project accounting.
- Proficient in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- Proficient skills in MS Excel.
- Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record upon request.
