JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: USCG FINCEN

POSITION INFORMATION: Full-time

LOCATION: Onsite - Chesapeake, VA; candidate will be eligible to telework 2x week after 6 months of employment

POSITION TIMING: ASAP; hiring immediately

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidate will obtain a Public Trust clearance; clearance can process while the candidate is working the position

POSITION OVERVIEW: Candidate will support the financial systems team at the USCG Finance Center

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Federal business financial and accounting system support and data analysis and reconciliations.
• Key responsibilities include data entry, data analysis, financial reporting, reconciliations, and customer support. Serve as a part of creative team to improve business processes, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 yrs. experience in accounting, Microsoft office suite with proficiency in Excel, pivot tables and data analysis.
• Understanding of Federal Accounting and Oracle ERP Financial Systems OR experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL, TOAD or SQL Navigator tools
• Understanding of financial data flow and reconciliation processes

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, IT, Business Management, or relevant fields

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with ServiceNow application
