CHS is hiring attentive, trustworthy and caring home health aides to provide excellent assistance to our clients. The caregiver will plan and follow a daily care schedule, modify care plans as prescribed by medical professionals and report on any new conditions that may arise.
An ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, organized and have strong people skills. You should be observant and committed to making your client feel safe and comfortable.
You must be 18 years old, have a high school diploma, a driver's license, a good driving record, and pass our background checks. Experience in the field and CPR certification are very helpful.
Although client needs vary, these are examples of typical caregiver responsibilities:
Assistance with personal care which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing and eating.
Following a client's Care Plan which may include exercise and medication reminders.
Making sure the home is organized according to client needs and safety.
Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
Providing mobility assistance may be required (i.e. help with wheelchair, walker).
Transporting or escorting client to appointments.
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior and needs.
Light housework
