Chroma Color - North America is Hiring a Senior Maintenance Technician Near Salisbury, NC

***$ 2,500 sign on bonus ($ 500 paid at day 90 / $ 1,000 paid at 6 months / $ 1,000 paid at one year) ***

***Responsibilities:

*. Operating safely is of paramount importance to our company and our employees.

  1. Responsible to keep equipment in the building operational at all times.
  2. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty parts and components of machine, such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices, using hand tools.
  3. Diagnoses and repairs/replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
  4. Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications.
  5. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers, following electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and voltage tester. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, using hand tools and test equipment.
  6. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables, using hand tools.
  7. Tests malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other maintenance personnel to diagnose malfunctions.
  8. Other duties as needed. Must be able to multi-task and be flexible to be productive at all times and do what is needed to serve our customers.

***Education, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial or warehouse settings required.
  • Five years related experience in maintenance (mechanical required / plus electrical preferred).
  • High School diploma required.
  • Availability to occasionally work overtime and on Saturdays.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (including but not limited to lifting up to 50 pounds and moving up to 250 pounds, frequent overhead work, bend & squat & stoop, and climb stairs as well as standing and/or walking for long periods of time). The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment for safety and environmental regulations.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Key competencies:Leadership, working independently, customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership and participation. Ability to use ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs effectively. Continuous Improvement skills and experience is essential.
  • Successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and pre-employment background check.
