We are seeking an Associate Merchandise Planner, responsible for building financial plans and executing other business needs in their product categories in order to drive sales, profit and inventory turnover. This position will report into a Planner but own specific product categories. The Planning Team is accountable for the development, implementation and review of the financial plans for each product category. The position will be a balance of work-from-home and the corporate office, with occasional store visits. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop Pre-Season Financial Plans in partnership with the buyer and incorporating Merchandise Assortment strategies * Drive the In-Season execution and review of all Financial Plans for each product category * Executes reporting and analytics to identify opportunities and recommends actions to increase sales, margin, and turn to meet or exceed plan * Demonstrates curiosity and research new ways of operating to enhance efforts IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS AND BEHAVIORS FOR SUCCESS * Results oriented with a high degree of resilience and perseverance. Is responsive and enjoys helping other achieve their goals. * Strong attention to detail; capable of identifying anomalies and maintaining accurate work. * Ability to analyze product performance in season and recommends adjustments to future forecasts to establish inventory levels that drive sales and maximize profitability * Able to provide strong oral and written communication to all levels of audiences QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS * 2-4 years work experience in retail planning preferred. * Bachelors degree required. * A high level of experience with Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel) preferred, with the ability to create ad hoc reporting tools as needed.
