Maintenance Associates

Christianbook is looking for TWO FULL TIME Maintenance Associates to join our team.

• 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday; 11am - 7pm
• 3rd Shift (includes pay differential) - Sunday - Thursday; 11pm- 7am

These are full-time, non-management, hourly positions located at the Peabody, MA office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of all types of facility and production equipment, such as: label applicators, case erectors, case sealing equipment, conveyor equipment, packing and packaging machines.
• Candidate will be on an "on call" schedule for potential hours beyond the schedule listed above on occasion.
• Overtime is sometimes required.
• Snow removal and some janitorial duties as needed.
• Other related work duties as required by Team Leader/Facility Manager.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must have experience working with power and hand tools.
• General knowledge of mechanics.
• Must be able to complete repairs and projects under minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Conveyor maintenance, preventive maintenance, electrical and plumbing experience are a plus.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, motors, and mechanical power transmission a plus.
• Welding and metal fabrication a plus.

Experience:

• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
