Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Provider to join our team. As a Respite Provider, you will be responsible for providing temporary relief and support to individuals with disabilities, their families, or caregivers. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:
- Provide care and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Engage individuals in social and recreational activities to promote socialization and independence
- Monitor and document individual's progress, behaviors, and any changes in health status
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding the privacy of individuals' health information
- Advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities and promote their inclusion in community activities

Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' rights
- Experience in providing care to individuals with disabilities or special needs
- First aid certification is preferred but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals of all ages
- Understanding of social work principles and ability to provide emotional support
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques for individuals with memory impairments
- Experience in childcare or working with children is a plus
- Familiarity with hospice care principles for end-of-life support
- Ability to work with people with developmental disabilities
