Christian County Government is Hiring an IT Technician Near Christian County Government, MO

Christian County is currently accepting applications for a part-time IT Technician. This position will perform a variety of technical and analytical information technology services. The IT Technician provides technical assistance and problem resolution to all staff, which relates to all technology, to include: workstations, user accounts, printers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists CCIT team to execute the development and maintenance of Christian County’s IT systems.
  • Troubleshoots, Provides Support and Solves System Problems.
  • Ensures staff satisfaction by delivering quick and accurate solutions to a variety of IT issues.
  • Updates New Users/Necessary Permissions, Device setup and onboarding of new hires.
  • Participates in all aspects of IT security.
  • Under the direction of the IT Manager will assist with the administration with network switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Plays an active role in preventing issues through maintenance.
  • Maintains and Records, all interactions, IP, phone, and other critical data.
  • Maintains, completes, and reports status of current projects.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associates in IT or related field is preferred
  • One year of corporate desk side support experience and Windows 10/11 (associate degree can be substituted for 1 year of experience)

The successful candidate will have an advanced understanding of technical issues, operation systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems. Firewall knowledge, NAT, port forwarding are a plus as well as knowledge of Microsoft’s core business applications, Windows Server, Exchange/M365, etc. Must be a strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills including the ability to present information to a technical as well as a non-technical audience, plus strong planning, organization, time management skills and proactive attitude. Ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
