Christian County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for a Campus Security Deputy. A Campus Security Deputy is assigned to physical security positions inside the Christian County Government buildings. The primary duties of a Campus Security Deputy (CSD) are to conduct screening of visitors, property, or deliveries to ensure the safety and security of the Christian County Courts and Government buildings. A CSD may operate necessary security equipment such as x-ray machines, metal detectors, and hand wands at screening checkpoints. Other duties include assisting with the escorting of inmates to courtrooms, provide oversight from a security control room, and patrolling the campus. Specialized assignments of a Campus Security Deputy may include but not be limited to conducting urine analysis (UA) for the court.
Education/Experience

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or related to the law enforcement profession is preferred.
• Possess a valid Missouri Driver License
• Must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of Missouri.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must meet one of the following:
  • Possess Class A MO POST certification.
  • Possess Class B MO POST certification with 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university and two years of full-time law enforcement experience.
  • Possess Class B MO POST certification with two years of active duty military service with an honorable discharge.

This position must be able to pass a criminal background check, a drug test (and will be subject to random drug testing).
