Christian County Highway Department is currently accepting applications for a Brush Cutter Operator for Common II Road District.

This position’s duties include but are not limited to; operating heavy tractor in cutting brush along roadways and rights-of-ways; assisting with tree trimming and removal as well as brush cutting, limb cutting and trimming near bridge structures and other general labor as needed.

Education / Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years prior work experience preferred.
• License or Certificate:
• Possession of a CDL Class A, or ability to acquire within 90 days is required.

This position spends the majority of the day standing or walking. Occasionally lifts and/or moves objects weighing up to 100lbs such as tools, equipment, supplies, etc. This full-time position works Monday-Thursday from 6:00am-4:30pm. Employees must pass a background check, medical review and drug screening and attend all required training.
