Job Summary:

We seek a Marketing Specialist at Christian Church Homes (CCH), to play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to provide affordable housing solutions. This full-time, exempt position requires flexibility for evening and weekend commitments, particularly for events involving the CEO and other organizational leaders.

Under the direction of the Director of Administration, in partnership with the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of marketing and communication efforts relating to the Organization’s efforts and achievements, including but not limited to; event planning, managing social media presence, overseeing the organization's website and branded assets, collateral creation, and project managing outsourced marketing and event vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Event Planning:

  • Plan and execute notable organizational events, ensuring seamless logistics and successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership to plan, promote, and attend events, including evenings and weekends.

2. Content Development and Communications

  • Create engaging content for broadcast, print, and online distribution channels.
  • Support Executive Leadership with all promotional and operational communications efforts, including Fundraiser support, Community Outreach, Business Updates, CEO Messaging, and more.
  • Draft emails, newsletters, and other correspondence representing the CEO and the organization.

3. Social Media Management:

  • Develop and maintain the organization’s social media profile and presence.
  • Implement targeted communications and advertising campaigns across various platforms.

4. Website Management:

  • Oversee the organization's website, ensuring content accuracy, relevance, and a positive user experience.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to implement updates and improvements.

5. Branded Assets and Collateral:

  • Manage and maintain branded assets and collateral, ensuring consistency in messaging and visual identity.
  • Work with design teams to create high-quality materials for marketing and promotional purposes.

6. Vendor Project Management:

  • Manage outsourced marketing and event vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide clear communication and direction to external partners to achieve organizational goals.

7. Additional Support/Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on an as-needed basis to the Administration team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various departments, vendors, and the public.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for public representation during media events, product launches, and trade shows.
  • Project management experience, time-management skills, and familiarity with project management software.
  • Computer proficiency, including basic applications, with experience in web page development or graphic design is beneficial.
  • WordPress experience and proficiency is required.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends or travel as needed.
  • 3 years of work experience as a media coordinator, journalist, content creator, public relations expert, or in a similar role.
  • Expertise in targeted communications, advertising campaigns, and a deep understanding of SEO and social media practices.
  • Critical thinking, strong conceptual and research skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Portfolio of published work highly desired

Reporting Organizational Relationships

This position will report directly to the Director of Administration and supervises the day-to-day activities and staff of one or more functional areas within a department and performs related work as required.

Compensation & Classification

CCH is committed to paying competitive wages. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000. CCH has a competitive benefits package with health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 8% of an employer contribution for retirement, and more. This is a full-time, exempt position. This position is based at the CCH Central Office - Walnut Creek.
