Christian Care Centers Inc is Hiring a Dining Services Lead Server Near Fort Worth, TX

Job Summary:

The duties and responsibilities of the Dining Services Lead Server include leading a team of servers to provide high-quality food and service to our residents, assist in inventory management, plating and serving quality food, maintaining high standards of food safety, and helping with various dining functions as assigned by the Dining Services Director.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma preferred
  • Licensure: Must obtain a food handler permit within 30 days of employment
  • Experience: 6 months food services experience preferred
  • Skills: Must be able to read, write, follow directions, communicate clearly, have basic computer skills, and perform basic math functions
  • Transportation: Ability to ensure timely arrival and stable transportation

Environmental and Working Conditions:

The Dining Services Supervisor works primarily in a kitchen and dining environment but must also be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day. It is possible that the work may include limited exposure to residents and/or patients with AIDS, HIV, and hepatitis B viruses involving Risk Classification Categories 1, 2, and 3**. Environmental conditions will fluctuate. To be qualified for the position, applicants and teammates will have the ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents, with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to themselves or others.

  • Tasks may involve exposure to blood or body fluids.
  • Tasks do not involve contact with blood or body fluids but could result in performing a Category 1 task.
  • Tasks do not involve any risk of exposure to blood and body fluids.


Physical and Mental Effort:

The Dining Services Supervisor works primarily in a kitchen or dining room environment but must also be able to move throughout the buildings and grounds as needed throughout the day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines.


Essential Functions:

Be the second point of contact for servers and dishwashers, taking actions as necessary to address issues or concerns; Act as back up to Dining Services Director in his or her absence

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Ensures teammate adherence to standards and procedures of food storage, preparation, and service; equipment and department sanitation; and employee safety; Monitors and corrects safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen

Communicate with other department directors to plan and maintain the highest quality food service

Assist Dining Services Director with menu planning and review prior to preparation

Perform duties related to inventory management and assist Director with weekly orders

Participate in ongoing training programs related to the job

Assist Director of Dining Services with recruiting and hiring new teammates, as well as teammate scheduling and assignments.

Monitors and inspects the quality and consistency of the food to include food storage, food preparation, food temperatures, portion control, palatability, and attractiveness of food, and implements changes to ensure quality according to established standards.

Train all new dining servers and dishwashers on policies and procedures of the kitchen and service areas as assigned.

Perform other assignments as requested.

Establish and encourage an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in residents' activity preferences and needs.
