PAY RATE: $12.49 Hourly (Pay is negotiable, based on experience)
Performs a variety of functions in the daily operations of the Eagle Food Pantry
Serves as an assistant in the daily functions of operating the Eagle Food Pantry. Accurately maintains the client digital database and inventory records.
Assists with pantry deliveries, receiving items, breaking down bulk inventory and the rotating and storage of food items. Ensures proper refrigeration and temperature control of sensitive items.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment for participants and staff.
Provides training and coaching to short-term and long-term volunteers. Assists the Manager and Pantry Coordinator with community engagement, food education, and events such as the annual Hunger Walk event.
High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies Required
1 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
Posses a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record
CAP Driving Certification (or Ability to Obtain)
DOT Medical Card Required
Obtain and maintain forklift/box truck certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
Load crate/box on 27 inch shelf with 3 bags 16 lbs each and 1 bag 17 lb
Lift 65 lbs occasionally and place on 5 inch shelf.
Push pallet jack with 50 lbs of force a distance of 50 ft
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
Step up/down from an 18" step
Push mop
Pull a garage door down with 45 lbs of force and pull upward from ground at 38 lbs of force
Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
Have good hearing capabilities
