Christa Construction is Hiring a Project Manager Near Albany, NY

Overview

The Project Manager provides managerial leadership for Christa Construction, LLC, promoting Customer Satisfaction through quality, service, and value. This position requires the individual to have the personal attributes to manage, direct, mentor and support employees through their daily work while demonstrating Christa’s corporate philosophy of outstanding business ethics and principles. Additionally, a Project Manager will be the direct point of contact with clients and owners, developing performance relationships resulting in long term business partnerships.

  • Supervises and directs the overall project. Duties include planning and coordinating activities with others; circumventing/resolving problem areas; and ensuring all company/project policies, procedures, and standards are maintained.
  • Achieves customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Customers
    include owners, architects, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
  • Manages, directs, organizes, coordinates, and schedules the work of staff in their respective
    corporate divisions
  • Ensures that projects are being managed effectively and are effectively operated
  • Is responsible for the profitability of assigned projects and the completion of work per
    schedule and utilizes corporate standard operating procedures to accomplish this goal
  • Solicits, purchases, writes, and manages contracts, contractors, and vendors in the execution
    of work
  • Responsible for developing the financial schedule of values inclusive to the overall project
    budget.
  • Prepares and distributes payment applications on a monthly basis
  • Tracks all project costs and prepares monthly cost to complete reports
  • Cost codes all project invoices
  • Solicits, procures, and manages the labor, material, and equipment necessary to execute the
    work of several projects
  • Actively participates in the solicitation and procurement of new and future employees
  • Ensures that standard administrative operating procedures are being complied with
  • Creates, updates, and monitors construction schedules using Microsoft Project and adheres to
    company scheduling standards and practices
  • Creates and submits all project RFIs and submittals
  • Prepares and distributes all project meeting minutes
  • Manages and maintains all changes to projects by posting drawings, updating Project Sight and creating as-built drawings
  • Manages the closeout process at the end of projects to submit to appropriate parties
  • Trains, mentors, and motivates the Assistant Project Manager and/or Project Engineer assigned to their projects

  • Objectives and how the objectives are achieved will be defined either by the direct supervisor or by explicit procedures and rules. Situations not covered by rules or procedures are referred to supervisor. All assignments, including the performance of tasks and activities, are reviewed by supervisor in detail with the employee.

  • Tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Communication is timely and clear
  • Owners and architects’ expectations are met or exceeded through feedback obtained
  • Overall project success with special consideration to schedule and profit
