Description

Classic Worship Technical Coordinator

PURPOSE:

The Classic Worship Technical Coordinator (CWTC) will use their gifts, skills and abilities in the area of production to tell God’s story in a creative and compelling way at Christ Church’s Classic worship services, ministry gatherings and special events. This person will help shape, build and support the Production Team’s culture, recruit, train, and oversee volunteers, recruit and oversee occasional staff, as well as maintain equipment and systems.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Senior Director of Worship & Music
  • Works closely with a secondary manager, Director of Production
  • Oversees volunteers and occasional production staff
  • Works collaboratively with the Classic Worship Coordinator

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide production leadership and coordination for Sunday Classic worship services, as well as ministry gatherings, funerals, weddings and events
  • Recruit, train and shepherd production volunteers and occasional staffvideo, audio, graphic operators, lighting techs, service coordinators, and stage managers for Classic worship
  • Recruit, train and shepherd production volunteers for Family ministries, especially for student ministries
  • Maintain current standards of operation, improve systems and execution of production, and pioneer new ways the technical arts can enhance worship and create meaningful opportunities for the congregation and guests so that people’s hearts will be open to the life-changing message of Jesus
  • Maintain and service equipment and resources in the Sanctuary and Family Ministry spaces, as well as other gathering spaces at the Oak Brook campus
  • Plans and executes the upgrading and purchasing of new equipment for the Sanctuary under the direction of the Director of Production
  • Prepare and manage Propresenter
  • Participate in the installation of new equipment in the Sanctuary and other gathering spaces under the direction of the Director of. Production
  • Provide production support for Greenhouse and Rooted gatherings and events

Spiritual Development

  • Support and model individual spiritual formation i.e. Worship, Grow and Serve. (Weekly worship, prayer, scripture reading, small group, volunteering/service, etc.).

Work Hours and Availability:

  • Weekday and Sunday hours

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in managing and supervising others
  • 1 years of demonstrated technical experience with traditional choral ensembles and/or choral-orchestral performances
  • Production/technical arts experience in church production, event production, or television
