Visitationand Pastoral Care Pastor

POSITION FOCUS:

Visitation and Pastoral care ministry to members and friends of Christ Church.

POSITION STATUS:

Program Staff Full Time

Responsibilities - Pastoral Care

• Make pastoral visits and calls to congregants of Christ Church in their homes, hospitals, and care facilities.
• Plan and perform funerals and memorial services.
• Oversee and engage in Grief Support for families and ongoing follow-up including our Griefshare groups.
• Oversee our Sunday Prayer Ministry recruit, train, and support our Prayer Ministers
• Give guidance and leadership to our ministry to widows. (Naomi’s Circle & It’s A Journey)
• Oversee and give guidance to our ASK ministry including our Connexion Calling Team.
• Assist in giving leadership to our Lay Visitation Ministry Team.
• Offer Pastoral Counsel to members and friends of CCOB.
• Be ‘On Call’ to respond to the emergency care calls 20-24 weeks per year.
• Attend all Pastoral Care team meetings.
• Assist/host morning worship services at Christ Church as requested.
• Position requires regular Weekend responsibilities.
• Other Pastoral Care Department duties as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ordained minister, 5 years Pastoral ministry experience.
• Masters of Divinity or equivalent
