What You Will Do
As the Procurement Director you will Lead Procurement category strategy development, sourcing, supplier management and enterprise value creation for $160MM spend portfolio across protein, packaging, and raw materials. Accountable for all supplier relationships and performance. Accountable for all supplier relationships and performance. Develop and drive a multi-year Procurement strategy roadmap focusing on cost savings, secondary sources of supply, and building strategic partnerships. This leader will help develop the function as it continues to support Chomps significant growth within the meat snacking category.
Responsibilities
- Lead all Procurement activities for Protein, Packaging, and Ingredient spends for Chomps.
- Rapid Results - Create value and drive margin through innovative cost savings initiatives (Protein, Packaging, and Raw Ingredients), while continuing to delight our consumers. This can take the form of pricing negotiations, request for proposals (RFPs), supplier portfolio management, specification / formulation optimization, and logistics efficiencies.
- Team Leadership – Lead and develop team of 2-3
- Category Strategy Development – Deliver best-in-class strategies that assure risk and maximize value.
- Supplier Performance – Design and execute supplier performance scorecards and strategic relationship frameworks.
- Sourcing & Contracts Management – Develop and execute sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts for best value and high level of service.
- Lead team to deliver rapid results in a fast-paced and fast-growth environment – Developing strategic capabilities, establishing secondary supply sources, and driving initiatives to achieve value-creating outcomes
- Effective leadership and coaching of team members to leverage leading Procurement practices
- Sound technical knowledge/experience managing raw and pack procurement within CPG industry: proteins, packaging, seasonings, and inclusions.
- Experience working in or with manufacturing partners to understand impact of raw materials in manufacturing environments and partnership to drive continuous improvement
Who You Are
- 10 years of previous experience in Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement. Protein (meat) and packaging experience is ideal.
- 5 years leading teams
- Demonstrated cost savings track record
- Top-notch analytical/negotiation skills
- Ability to toggle between strategic and detail oriented thinking
- Strong executive presence, well-developed presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to influence across multiple functional teams
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and rapidly changing environments
- Driven and motivated by accomplishing extraordinary objectives
- Ability to travel to supplier locations domestically and internationally as needed

Reports to: Senior Director, Supply Chain
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time, exempt
Salary Range Opportunity:
- The salary range for this role is $150k - $160k 25% annual bonus
