Choices CCS is Hiring a Clinical Director Near Indianapolis, IN

The Clinical Director provides leadership, direction, and clinical oversight to multiple teams/programs. The incumbent manages the day-to-day operations of the assigned programs, with the overall responsibility for program fidelity to chosen evidence-based practice models, as well as quality assurance and compliance in accordance with contract requirements and Choices’ standards. The Clinical Director assists the Operations Director in developing and implementing processes and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and quality of services. The Clinical Director is responsible for tracking, monitoring, and adjusting program caseload sizes, ensuring caseloads meet contractual requirements. The Clinical Director is responsible for meeting program goals, including census and staffing targets. The Clinical Director partners with other departments within Choices to develop effective processes for operational effectiveness, including, but not limited to Finance, Provider Relations, Information Systems and Technology, Applied Research and Evaluation and Staff Training and Development. The Clinical Director provides consultation, education, and overall support to program staff, and serves as a liaison with various funders and other partners, while maintaining a strong presence in the community. The Clinical Director demonstrates self-awareness and motivation for personal growth and leadership development. The incumbent supports and upholds a commitment to racial and ethnic equity and antiracism. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organizational Management

  1. Establishes the clinical vision for the assigned Choices’ programs.
  2. Works with Choices’ executive management team and the Indiana Operations Director to ensure the program is meeting or exceeding all contract requirements.
  3. Directs the hiring, training, and retention of staff at the assigned site, ensuring all program staff meet necessary education, experience, and licensure requirements.
  4. Establishes and oversees referral, enrollment, and discharge processes, as well as caseload assignments, ensuring all contract requirements are met.
  5. Works with key Choices leadership personnel to establish strategic plan and quality improvement processes approved by Choices.
  6. Uses data to inform decision-making for quality assurance, program improvement, and staffing needs.
  7. Maintains positive working relationships with internal and external staff and partners.
  8. Demonstrates fiscal responsibility, ensuring assigned programs are financially sustainable and key performance indicators are met.
  9. Balances staffing needs with caseloads and revenue/expenses
  10. Markets programs to referral sources regularly
  11. Ensures compliance with all Council on Accreditation requirements.
  12. Ensures assigned programs complete timely and intensive case reviews on a regular basis, monitoring clinical processes and ensuring policy and procedural compliance.
  13. Is available to staff after hours to provide guidance and direction during crisis situations.
  14. Completes reports for funders as required by contract.
  15. Willingness to complete other duties as assigned, in effort to advance the mission of Choices.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related human services field.
  2. Current licensure by the state(s) in which work is assigned as Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, or similar field required.
  3. Minimum of five years of clinical and/or supervisory experience in community-based behavioral health and human services with children/families.
  4. Significant supervisory experience that promotes leadership and initiative in line staff, successful team building, consensus building, conflict resolution, staff development, and advocacy.
  5. Demonstrated competence in providing and creating services for culturally diverse populations.
  6. Expertise in strength-based, trauma-informed programming, crisis intervention, family systems theory, and case management.
  7. Demonstrated skill in fiscal management activities and development preferred.
