Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our team. The Estimating Manager will be responsible for overseeing the estimation process for construction projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids are submitted. This role requires strong knowledge of construction estimating, project management, and cost control. Responsibilities: - Manage the estimation process from start to finish, including reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting takeoffs, and preparing cost estimates - Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates - Analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive bid proposals - Review and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors - Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to streamline the estimation process - Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget - Provide guidance and support to the estimating team, including training and mentoring junior estimators Skills: - Strong background in construction estimating and project management - Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms - Proficiency in using software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid - Knowledge of cost control techniques to manage project budgets effectively - Strong analytical skills to accurately assess project requirements and develop competitive bids - Ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal We offer competitive compensation packages based on experience.
