The responsibilities of this position include:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives. Drive initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing managers, supervisors, and frontline employees. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: Find opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste elimination. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other standard processes to drive operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and support cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects. Foster a culture of innovation and efficiency throughout the manufacturing organization.
- Planning: Collaborate closely with Chobani’s Sales & Operations Planning team to optimize responsiveness and timeliness to assure operational capacity matches customer demand
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and performance metrics to monitor key manufacturing KPIs. Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance department to ensure thorough quality control standards and procedures. Implement measures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- GMPs: Follow Chobani’s safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years as a small to medium sized plant manager/leader in a manufacturing facility; experience in a fast paced, multi-sku product environment preferred.
- Willing to spend significant time on the production floor; interacting with employees at all levels.
- Experience leading or participating in a site transformation preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower teams to achieve goals and objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to optimally collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners.
