Position:

The Senior Accountant position is a key member of the Finance team reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager. This position will perform all related accounting functions required to maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and company policy and procedure. This position requires the ability to problem solve, evaluate processes and procedures to develop, recommend, and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy and efficiencies.

Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the accounting functions associated with general ledger and sub-ledger maintenance, including account reconciliations, journal entries and transactional analysis.
• Perform fluctuation analysis of P&L and Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with quarterly review, annual audit, and tax compliance, including preparation of schedules as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal control policies and procedures, implement and document internal controls timely and accurately, and collaborate to revise and enhance internal control policies and procedures as needed
• Assist with monitoring banking activities to forecast cash position.
• Owning the creation and maintenance of SOP and policy documents.
• Support system launch/enhancement projects.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports.
• Communicate both upward and downward to keep management and team informed.
• Support special project work as needed. 

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience working in public company environment
• 4-6 Years of related accounting experience

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and SOX controls

• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong financial analysis skills and attention to detail.
• High proficiency in Excel, particularly with in using functions like pivot tables and vlookup.
