General Purpose of Position (Full job description will be provided upon interview)

To support youth engaged in the dependency system through mentoring and modeling to
develop a strong therapeutic bond. The mentor will work with the child and caretakers to
create a plan to address areas of improvement, such as academic performance,
interpersonal relationships, placement instability, and behaviors. The mentor will create a
safe environment, develop positive relationships, and recognize youth for their efforts.
Responsibilities also include programmatic oversight, program coordination, and supervision
of the Therapeutic Youth Mentors.

M I N I M U M R E Q U I R E M E N T S

Education / Experience / Certification

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least two (2) years working with youth and family support related experience
Must have a working knowledge of community services and resources in our local five (5)

county area.
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities is a must.
The ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships is also a must.

Certificates, License, Registrations, background checks, drug screens

Valid driver’s license required, a clean Children’s Network participates in E-Verify
driver’s license check (required), and proof  Criminal background screening mandatory
of insurance (local law enforcement / FBI / FDLE, and Abuse

Drug Screening is required Registry)
