Research Assistant/Laboratory Technician, Department of Oncology - School of Medicine - Georgetown University Medical Center
Job Overview
The Research Assistant/Lab Technician has duties that include but are not limited to:
Perform complex laboratory and research related tasks - in vitro immunology assays, mammalian cell culture, qPCR, and ELISA
Perform in vivo studies in animal models and mouse colony management
Evaluate experiment results using statistical and multivariate analysis, and perform data interpretation, including manuscript preparation
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's level training in Biology, Chemistry, or related field or Master's level training in same
At least 1 year of experience as part of a research team in an academic setting
1 to 2 years of experience in basic molecular biology - for example, PCR, cloning, western blot, mammalian cell culture
Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Working experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to work as a part of a team
Availability to reliably commute daily to job on Georgetown University campus
