Children's National Medical Center is Hiring a Dist/Linen Technician (20 hours), Day shift (6a-230p Rotating Weekends & Holiday Near Washington, DC
DescriptionThe Dist/Linen Technician will be responsible to distribute and retrieve patient supplies, materials, instruments and equipment for nursing units according to prescribed procedures, techniques and universal precautions. Will maintain P AR levels of inventory items on patient units. Will complete computerized inventory records of supplies and materials.
QualificationsMinimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
1 year Related experience (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Basic calculations.
Ability to enter inventory information into computer system

- Issue supplies and equipment to user department as required. As required, may assist in linen distribution when needed.
- Maintain computerized inventory records of materials supplies and equipment.
- Issue and pick up patient charge cards daily .
- Ensure work is accomplished in a technically correct manner consistent with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in product recall procedure.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met by rotating supplies in department and nursing units on a weekly basis.
- Maintain work station in clean and orderly fashion, break down boxes, dispose of trash and use supplies according to established procedures.
- Maintain par-levels on emergency or disaster carts as scheduled before and during use.
