Overview

A Network Engineer is responsible for installing and maintaining computer communication networks, ensures networks are running smoothly and upgrades networks to provide maximum performance. Networks supported include LAN, WAN, MAN, WLAN, and Internet.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain computer networks such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems
  • Monitor network usage, performance, and security.
  • Creates and maintains accurate documentation such as, but not limited to, test plans, implementation plans, project timelines for various projects, diagrams, and instruction sheets.
  • Ensure networks are running smoothly, without error, and highly efficiently
  • Maintains technical competency by staying informed and educated on how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years' experience or
  • High School diploma, or equivalent, and 7 or more years' experience in lieu of a degree
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Preferred
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Preferred
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $37.35/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work-from-home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area and may attend on-site meetings, as scheduled.
