Overview

The Community Impacts on Physical Activity research team (https://www.ciparesearchteam.org/) within the Center for Children's Healthy Lifestyles & Nutrition (www.chlnkc.org) at Children's Mercy Hospital invites applications for one full time (40 hours per week) Research Assistant II position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children and adults to live healthy lifestyles. The Research Assistant II will work on multiple federally funded research studies involving physical activity promotion and community engaged research in collaboration with other team members.

Responsibilities
    Implementation of day-to-day activities for multiple research studies
  • Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll study participants (children and adults)
  • Conduct data collection visits in adherence with study protocols
  • Conduct surveys or administer questionnaires
  • Manage and work with study tracking databases
  • Assist with data entry and data quality checks/control
  • Manage study materials and assessment devices (e.g., GPS, Garmin, accelerometers)
  • Develop research and communication materials
  • Incorporate formatting and design elements into research documents
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Participate in team meetings and activities
  • Work cooperatively with other team members and supervisors
Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years experience Experience in research subject enrollment and database management for one year period of time
  • HS diploma or equivalent or Associates degree and 5-7 years experience may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator Preferred
Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $22.99/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
